"This orthodontic center really helped me achieve my goal in improving my confidence in both my smile and overall! They offer both invisalign and braces, but I chose invisalign and I absolutely have no regret! The staff is so considerate and patient, and I have had no problems—and if I had any, setting up an appointment is so easy with a touch of a button in their app. I can see all my progress in the app while they remind me to stay on track. Their program is great and i’m only about a quarter way done with my treatment and I already see a great improvement. The doctor is also great, she always checks in during your appointments to make sure you understand what is going on at all times. This place is amazing, and I’d recommend anyone to choose Wheaton Orthodontic Center anytime."

"First time here and I can honestly say I will continue my smile journey with this office. My first appointment and I felt extremely welcome. Everyone is very personable which made the process smooth. I opted for metal braces after having x rays and going over my treatment and I had them done the same day; unfortunately, it seemed as if I had an allergic reaction to the metal and within an hour I was back in the office and they removed them no questions asked. I opted for invisilign instead. All the staff members were empathetic to my situation even was given a hug😂😩. On the way out I was given some goodies to go( tooth brush kit, t shirt , face mask ,etc) .I have been researching offices for the last few months for braces and I can honestly say I’m happy with choice I made . Super friendly and affordable. Thank you so much!!!"
"Dr. Allen and his team are absolutely the best around! My oldest had braces and my youngest is in Invisalign now. Both experiences have been wonderful and we are so happy with the results. The little extras in the office make it so inviting and the rewards program and special events are so fun for the kids! "Went to different orthodontists in the area and found Wheaton Orthodontic Center to be the most cost effective and that’s the main reason we chose them. They were very accommodating and had different payment plan options that best fit our needs. Sara was very responsive to text messages. Added bonus: Their office had a welcoming and fun atmosphere, a nice backdrop for pictures, a well stocked snack/coffee area, and game room. The staff was friendly and made my kids feel relaxed about getting braces. They even offered either a Waterpik flosser or Philips Sonicare electric toothbrush FREE for new patients and a gift bag filled with a goodies for a new-braces-wearer:)"

"I am writing this review several years out of treatment (when this practice was previously known as Wheaton Orthodontics) and can attest that Dr. Allen did a beautiful job!I had no idea how severe my crowding and overbite were before I came in for my consultation as an adult in 2017. He put together a treatment plan immediately and started my treatment the following day knowing I had to leave to work out of state within a couple days. He explained every step to me and was so kind and understanding - the staff is exceptional, too. Scheduling is flexible and everything about timing, expenses, etc is transparent.I ended up also requiring double jaw surgery in 2018 to fully correct my bite and Dr. Allen was able to communicate with my oral surgeon out of state (Dr. Heath Evans in Oklahoma). I was finished with my braces in spring of 2019 and have maintained my correction with nightly invisible liners since. When I needed replacements, I was easily able to set up an appointment and pick up new retainers within the same week.I am now 4 years out of finishing my braces and I am so, so happy with my results (and so is my dentist). I was so self conscious and hated having my picture taken or even laughing or smiling without covering my mouth before having my bite and crowding corrected. Now I‘m happy to smile and laugh both in front of a camera and in everyday life.Thank you for everything, Dr. Allen and crew!"
"This was my first time going to Dr. Allen and I am so happy with how my teeth turned out. They weren’t that bad to begin with because I did have braces when I was younger I just stopped wearing the retainers I was given and my top teeth shifted a bit. But I am soooo much happier with Dr. Allen’s results. I was mostly self conscious about my two front teeth because they looked like bunny teeth but Dr. Allen filed down parts of my teeth that made them look big and now they’re aligned with the rest of my teeth! I had also finished my treatment but I still felt like there was one tooth that was slightly behind the rest of them, like the smallest amount that I felt like I was exaggerating but I knew it was something I would have to live with so I told him anyways. He started a new treatment right away and told me he saw what I was talking about and validated my concerns! Dr. Allen really just wants you to be comfortable and happy with your smile, I will be recommending this location to friends and family!"

"This place is phenomenal from the time I transferred from Michigan( Smiles Doctors office) to Wheaton Illinois the staff was on point. The hospitality was very exceptional.. I received a first time patient gift, a bottle of white wine, as well as a tour throughout the facility where my daughter sat and played in their video gaming room while I had my braces removed. In the first 5 minutes they give you a tour of their beautiful office and introduce you to everyone. I was there to get invisalign braces. They thoroughly went over the treatment and the cost. They have many option plans for the cost of the treatment. I'm excited for my new look in 15 months."

"We have 4 children. Our oldest 3 are in their early 20s and had a wonderful experience with Dr. Allen. I wouldn't consider another orthodontist for our youngest who is just now needing braces. We were thrilled to learn that Dr. Allen is still on Willow Road in Wheaton...the name has changed to Smile Doctors, but Dr. Allen is still there and uses the Damon Braces product which has proven results. The time from start to finish was exactly as projected for each of our children and the entire staff from Beth to each technician and assistant is kind and professional. We wouldn't go anywhere else!"

"Dr. Allen did my first phase of braces before he was a smile doctor. He was great then and is STILL great now. He treats his patients like family. Even under the stress of COVID he keeps his office clean, safe, and his patients happy. Smile Doctors is SO convenient as a college student who is out of state and has to switch back and forth between school and home orthodontists. (Side note: Doctor Scott, a Colorado smile doctor, is also AMAZING!!) The whole transfer process (when switching from predominantly one smile doctor to another) is handled by them which was a little tedious/took a little more time than anticipated but we're in the middle of a pandemic, that's life right now. Even then everyone was SO kind, always able to answer questions, and help me in a prompt manner. I have worked with many doctors, dentists, orthodontists, etc because I have a lot of skeletal issues and many teeth problems and Dr. Allen is definitely one of my favorite people to go see! He is quick and efficient when you're in the office. They have good price deals and they're good with payment plans. Will definitely be recommending smile doctors to anyone and everyone that asks me for an orthodontic recommendation!"

When we arrived Cheryl helped me review my cost, our insurance plan, etc and she gave us top notch service. We met with Dr. Allen and he is very personable and explained in detail the best option for my kids. "Dr. Allen is great! I haven't had his braces in over 10 years but had to come back and write a review because my teeth are still perfect! With his knowledge he advised me to put a permanent bottom retainer in (you can't even see) and I am so glad I did because my teeth haven't moved and a lot of my friends (now in their mid 20's) have crocked bottom teeth and having to get braces or invisaline again, which isn't cheap! "The place is awesome. It has a game section that can entertain kids while they wait for their appointment. The staff are extremely friendly and the doctor, Dr. Allen is super nice. Cheryl, the financing staff, is a big helper when it comes to payment. She handles it very, very well. Loved the conditions of the place, and the braces were easily done in an hour or 2 for my kids. I got my braces off today and they sang a song, and I got a bucket full of treats and a balloon. "Highly recommend Dr. Allen at Wheaton Orthodontic Center. About a year ago, I brought my 13-year old son to Wheaton orthodontics to redeem a coupon for a free football mouthguard given to us during equipment pickup for the Glen Ellyn Golden Eagles.During the free custom mouthguard fitting, Dr. Allen provided a complimentary evaluation of my son's teeth. My son was already wearing braces from another orthodontist, and Dr. Allen said things were looking good and coming along nicely. I took the opportunity to ask Dr. Allen his opinion on extractions because our current orthodontist was recommending we pull FOUR of my son's teeth as part of his treatment plan. We had questioned this direction over and over and asked other orthodontist if there was ANY way to avoid this drastic measure and were told that unfortunately our son's teeth would be overcrowded without the extractions.Well, Dr. Allen just shook his head with disappointment that extractions were being proposed. He proceeded to describe the long term future "look" of a smile with extensive extractions, and it wasn't pretty. All those missing teeth, even professionally straightened and aligned would eventually make for a smaller looking mouth and a less broad smile. In essence, we would be giving up the possibility of a wide Hollywood smile just for "straight teeth". He went on to say that with a different type of braces (I believe the Damon method?) that he utilizes, along with artistic tweaks that could produce the kind of smile we were looking for without pulling ANY teeth!We left that appointment with our free mouthguard for football and a plan of action. We scheduled an appointment with our former Orthodontist and gave one final plea to not pull our son's teeth and described the treatment plan Dr. Allen had described. Our Orthodontist said that what we were describing was a more sophisticated and advanced technique than their office was able to provide and continued to push extractions as the best solution. Needless to say, we parted ways with this provider.Dr. Allen's office provided an extremely smooth transition into their office. I don't recall her name, but the woman in charge of the financial end of things literally handled EVERYTHING with my insurance. Worked with my old provider to obtain a refund for what we had paid in advance for old braces, and applied that to Dr. Allen's treatment plan, and helped us set up a payment plan that made the financial transition seamless. She was so friendly and down to earth and willing to take the time to help us through this unusual situation.Within a few days, the old braces removed, and new braces put on. First thing my son said was that this appointment was the first he had experienced that did not cause him any pain. Even on the days after his adjustment appointments, there were no longer complaints of the aches he used to experience.Our original treatment plan called for my son's braces to come off in March of 2017...just over 2 years. We just scheduled our final appointment with Dr. Allen for early Dec. 2016 to have his braces taken off! Three months earlier than originally proposed! What a great Christmas gift to us...3 months of payments AND what we can already tell is going to be a wide perfect smile!I rarely if ever write reviews...but Dr. Allen and his wonderful team deserve accolades. "Dr. Allen and his staff are amazing!!! Every dentist I took my daughter to has told me that she was going to have to have braces since she was 3 years old. Then when she was 8 it was time and we were on a hunt. Every single orthodontist we went to for consultation said they were going to have to break her jaw. I wasn't having that. I searched and searched. There was absolutely no way I was going to let them break her jaw. I found Dr. Allen and I am so glad I did. She is, well...was considered to be a Class 3 with an extreme underbite. Dr Allen was able to fix her jaw without breaking it with the new Damon braces. Every time you step into his office, you feel like family. Dr. Allen and staff are so nice and the genuinely care. Today my daughter got her braces off. What a whirlwind from beginning to end.
