Dr. Laurie Stache
“I am most passionate about creating beautiful and healthy smiles, while supporting and building confidence in my patients throughout their orthodontic treatment. I think it is so important to get to know each patient, and each family, to deliver the best individualized treatment and experience possible.”
Dr. Laurie Stache is a native New Yorker who earned her dental degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and her master’s degree and Orthodontic certificate from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She and her husband, Dr. Rutger Stache (an orthodontist in our Schaumburg location) reside in Glen Ellyn with their puppy, Zeke. In the past, Dr. Laurie has participated in Israel Service Corps and Global Dental Brigades, where she volunteered in Israel teaching English and in Panama to aid local communities with no access to a dentist.
Dr. Laurie is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontics and American Dental Association. Additionally, in 2020, she was awarded funding by the American Association of Orthodontists Foundation to complete her research on orthodontic retainer materials. She is inspired every day at Smile Doctors as she witnesses the positive changes in patients’ lives and the smiles on their faces when braces come off. In her free time, she loves to go camping, hang with family, and travel. She’s an Aries and loves Molly’s cupcakes! Fun fact, in high school, Dr. Laurie was known as the DQ girl since she decorated cakes at the local Dairy Queen!
